Thor

Thor is a 16.3 hands Clydsdale/Belgium cross full draft stud.  He is become part of our breeding program as we have recognized our need to produce large sized horses that can handle to heavy work load required by our partners Yellowstone Outfitters.  The challenge in breeding draft crosses is in trying to get the heavy bone, size, and quiet nature of the draft horses while still maintaining the shape and athleticism of the quarter horse.  Thor's offspring show those qualities.  He has a nice short back, good feet and an attractive head and is the right size to have usable half drafts rather than trying to breed down to quarter drafts.  We are excited to see more babies coming from him.  Thor is currently hand breeding mares as well as pasture breeding.  Mare selection is important when considering a draft cross baby, so please contact us for any questions about Thor.
